ADULTING:

adult·ing

/əˈdəltiNG,ˈaˌdəltiNG/

noun

INFORMAL

  1. the practice of behaving in a way characteristic of a responsible adult, especially the accomplishment of mundane but necessary tasks.

"it feels really good to take a step back from adulting and have someone else cook dinner for me."

Purpose

As a senior in high school, I've noticed many teens struggling to transition into adulthood with no knowledge of crucial life skills such as how to change a tire, balance a check, or write a resume. It has come to my attention that parents and teachers do not take the time to teach these important and needed skills. I've made it my mission to create a space where teens and other adults who lack crucial life skills are able to find a variety of information to educate themselves on a wide mixture of classes.

About Me

My name is Olivia and I'm currently a Senior in High School working toward my Girl Scout Gold Award. I've made it my goal to teach other struggling teens life skills that schools and parents don't directly teach children. Outside of Girl Scouts I am involved in JROTC (Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp) serving as the Battalion S3 Operations Officer, as well as National Honor Society, Red Cross Club, Unidos Now, and other Scouting organizations.

IT DOES."
